One of the great things about running the As Seen On TV Blog is getting to hear from people from all over the world. Most times it’s just to say hi, but every once in a while I’ll get a really good question that begs to be shared!
Questions about the As Seen On TV Blog website
Q. How Did The As Seen On TV Blog Get Started?
A. The As Seen On TV Blog was created by me, Shane Trusty in 2010 as a way to share my passion of those wacky As Seen On TV products and commercials that I’ve loved since childhood. My goal was to make a place where I could show off the commercials themselves as they are the heart and soul of the product. In 2014 my son Nick began to help with the hands on video reviews.
Q. Do you make money from the As Seen On TV products that you talk about?
A. Yes, I make money on some of the products through a process known as affiliate marketing. You can check out the full explanation of the process and how it works on my disclosure page.
Q. So if you make money from recommending products, does that mean that you will write about anything just to get paid?
A. No, if the item is crap, I’ll be the first person to tell you so!
Q. How do you find all of those As Seen On TV Commercials that you show on your blog?
A. Ancient Chinese Secret? Well, lets just say that I have my ways!
Q. Why are some of the products that you share no where to be found mere days after being wrote about?
A. Many As Seen On TV products go through a limited testing phase to see if the product, commercial, and pricing are a good fit for the market or not. In some instances, they end up being a fast fail and will disappear quite quickly.

A. The As Seen On TV Blog does not directly sell the As Seen On TV products that we promote. Everything I promote or write about is sold by the official company that made it, or sold by sites like Amazon.com or Wamart.com.
